Welcome to the Grow Lab!

Welcome to the Grow Lab! Our lab seeks to better understand the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular development. We utilize a combination of bioinformatics, high throughput genomic discovery methods, and embryological techniques to study how the heart and primative blood vessels first form in the developing vertebrate embryo. For many of our research projects, we use the South African Clawed Frog, Xenopus laevis, as our model organism.
